Ballinsker made a taking debut to secure an impressive eight-length success in the four-year-old maiden at Oldcastle for Mick Goff. The son of Court Cave jumped well, disputing the lead throughout in the hands of Shane Fitzgerald. The €6,000 foal significantly increased the tempo of the race three from home, pushing his rivals out of their comfort zone with the eventual runner-up being the only horse able to go with him. Owned by Derek Tobin, the gelding soon got the better of his closest pursuers, taking command of the race around the home bend before going on to win well. The winner is an exciting looking individual with a good turn of foot who looks set to develop into a very exciting prospect under rules.
