Out of a six-time track winning daughter of Toulon that has already produced the 135 top-rated chaser Owen Na View, who himself is a six-time winner, Uptown Lady was well-touted ahead of her debut at Knockinroe which came in a very competitive looking four-year-old mares’ maiden. Patiently ridden over the course of the opening two miles, the daughter of Milan was one of three horses to pull clear from the third-last fence. Coming with her challenge at the last, she held every chance at this point only to get outjumped at this fence which proved crucial given that she was only beaten by a single length. There was a lot to like about this display.
