Henry Gondoff has to be considered extremely unlucky to have made a winning debut, as he looked to have arrived with a winning challenge when making his way to the head of affairs after the second last, only to make a mistake at the final fence, unseating his rider. The son of Great Pretender was holding a two-length advantage at the time on his debut, and given that it was a competitive looking race, he would look to be an exciting prospect.
