Hang Tough finished a good third behind two above average sorts in the first division of the four-year-old maiden at Loughanmore for handler Peter Flood. Never too far away from the pace, this son of Geordieland appeared a little green when the pace quickened at the entrance to the back straight. However to his credit the good looking sort, galloped on again when the penny began to drop, finishing a staying on third. Having just his second start this four-year-old looks like he may appreciate softer ground conditions and a stiffer test of stamina to be seen at his best. A €23,000 Derby Sale graduate this unexposed sort could be open to plenty of improvement under rules.
