The Sean Doyle-trained Shattered Glass secured success at the second time of asking when claiming the five-year-old geldings' maiden at Inchydoney in the hands of Harley Dunne. Never too far away from the pace, the son of Sholokhov is clearly a tough sort as the gelding battled back having been headed after the last, getting up in the closing stages and to take the contest by a short head. A half-brother to four-time winner Derintoher Yank, this gelding looks to be a promising individual who could well develop into a smart performer between the rails going forward.
