The Denis Murphy – trained Masters Voice ran out a very impressive winner of the second division of the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Tralee. A good fourth on his debut at Bartlemy two weeks previously, the son of Milan showed an exciting level of progression to record a commanding 10 length success here. Sporting the colours of Pat Coffey, this nicely bred sort was never two far away from the pace under Jamie Codd, jumping and travelling notably well throughout. Having hit the front jumping the penultimate obstacle, the good – looking bayed galloped on resolutely to the line to win comprehensively. This smart type looks like he could well develop into a high class sort order rules for new connections.
