Russian Invasion made a taking debut when finishing second in the four-year-old maiden at Inchydoney under Shane Fitzgerald. Handled by Mick Goff, this son of Aizavoski was given a patient ride, before making eye catching progress to challenge on the run to the final fence. A somewhat slow jump at the last did not help his cause, however this likable type rallied all the way to the line, getting to within just over a length of the winner on the short run-in. Out of a half-sister to winners Tina Thyne and Kings Equerry, this bay should come on plenty for this experience and may well develop into a very decent sort on the track in the future.
