Memories Remain made a promising debut for Denis Murphy at Bartlemy in the four-year-old mares’ maiden in the hands of Jamie Codd. This daughter of Milan faired best of the five newcomers here when coming off the pace to secure third place. Doing some of her best work towards the closing stages of this contest, the bay mare was gaining ground when beaten just three lengths. Out of a winning dam, Memories Remain is a half-sister to six-time winner Bobble Boru. This likable sort who could well develop into a smart performer under rules for new connections in the future.
