The Stuart Crawford-trained Largy Nights finished second at the third time of asking at Loughanmore in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden under the guidance of Ben Crawford. Beaten just five lengths, this son of Jeremy came from the back of the field to make good headway in the home straight to take second spot. Having ran twice previously, fifth on his debut at Armagh and third on his second start in Loughbrickland, this €15,500 store is clearly a progressive individual. Out of a winner and a half-brother to two-time track winner Rowdy Rampage this gelding should be capable of developing into a nice sort under rules in the future.
