The Grey Scholar a four-year-old son of the great Oscar made an impressive winning debut when taking the Open Maiden point-to-point by 30 lengths at Chaddesley Corbett on 20th April for Philip Rowley. He went through the race in the manner of a classy individual jumping and travelling well under Alex Edwards and took up the running at the eleventh fence before drawing clear 3 out to win easily at the line. A half-brother to a multiple track winner he now looks set to make his mark under rules in a bumper before progressing over obstacles where ultimately his future lies.
