Madame Deluxe shaped with plenty of promise when finishing runner-up to a very high class prospect in the four-year-old mares’ maiden at Ballycahane. Trained by Liam Kenny and owned by her rider Harley Dunne, the debutant was given a patient ride before catching the eye travelling very smoothly into the contest down along the back. The daughter of Malinas was notably neat over her obstacles and found plenty for pressure in the home straight to finish a fine second. In what looked a very competitive contest, this likable sort lost very little in defeat here. From a family of winners, she looks sure to win plenty of races herself in the future.
