Down The Highway made his debut a winning one when taking his five-year-old maiden at Cragmore in February. Ridden prominently behind the leader, Down The Highway always looked to be travelling well where he quickly asserted clear to lead and held a strong advantage before the final fence. Staying on well to the line, this eye-catching gelding held onto a comfortable six length victory in what was testing conditions. Down The Highway is out of a full-sister to the Listed placed Leitmotiv as well as being from the family of Group one winner Fabulous Queen. Down The Highway displayed a nice blend of both speed and stamina and this five-year-old looks set to further add to this winning family when he makes his progression to park racing.
