The Matt Collins-trained Tallow For Coal made a very impressive debut here when running out an emphatic winner of the four-year-old maiden at Knockanard. The son of Arctic Cosmos disputed the running until he started to gently increase the tempo from six out. The third-last fence claimed his two closest pursuers when he held a four-length advantage. The four-year-old was then left with an unassailable advantage and he duly coasted home with a distance to spare over What A Time. This fellow is a half-brother to two black type placed performers in Humbie and Behemoth. This son of Arctic Cosmos is open to plenty of improvement and should develop into a smart prospect over middle distances under rules.
