Brandy Love made the perfect start to her racing career when winning at the first time of asking, with a taking display at Cragmore. The daughter of Jet Away was the only mare amongst a six-runner field of newcomers and she got into a lovely rhythm at the head of affairs in this contest. The four-year-old started to gradually increase the tempo from three out and was clearly well in command from before two out. From there, her trailing rivals were under pressure and their fates were soon sealed, as the bay mare simply breezed further clear up the home straight, without having had to be asked a notable question to win by eight lengths. Given how she travelled with such ease into this event, Brandy Love highlighted herself as a very exciting sort that is bred to develop into a smart type on the track and could have a lot to offer to new connections.
