Recite A Prayer posted an exciting performance when taking the five-year-old geldings’ contest at Tallow when getting off the mark at the second time of asking. The son of Recital pulled up on his debut behind Vanillier at Dromahane on December 30th. This fine, big chasing type was left leading when Sportify fell three out, where he then forged clear from two out to win by a widening twelve lengths. This bay gelding portrayed that stamina was his primary asset in this contest and he is a €17,500 graduate of the 2018 Tattersalls May sale, who traces back to Michael Dickinson's three-time Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Badsworth Boy. Given the attributes he has shown in this contest this five-year-old should be capable of sampling track success over longer distances and would have a lot to offer new connections it seems.
