Kilbree Warrior posted an exciting performance when winning her five and-six-year-old mares’ maiden at Tallow. The brown mare atoned for falling when leading two out on her debut at Boulta in December by running her rivals ragged from the front in the hands of Tom Feeney in this contest. The daughter of Mahler, who was well in command throughout the race made all the running and she pulled clear of the rest of the field before the fifth fence where she maintained her advantage all the way to the line, to ultimately come home 12 lengths clear of her rivals. The five-year-old is out of a track winning dam in Tukawhile and she should be well up to winning on the track over middle to longer distances on this evidence.
