Velasco created a huge impression when running away with the 4,5&6yo Open Maiden point-to-point at Milborne St Andrew on 2 February. The impecabbly bred son of Sholokhov travelled supremely well in the hands of Tommie O’Brien and fenced accurately throughout to record a bloodless 40 length victory in a time 17 seconds faster than the other division of the race on the day. Out of the multiple graded winning mare BILBOA and a half-brother to 3 black type performers he looks to have a massive future ahead of him.
