Sleedagh has a very progressive profile, as the Milan gelding, who is out of a two-time track winning mare, stepped forward from his debut at Curraghmore to only miss out on a maiden victory by just over a length on his very next start which came last Sunday at Ballycrystal. Positioned more prominently for his latest start, he was always to the fore under Jack Hendrick with the pair still holding their ground on the inside right to the final fence. It was only after jumping the last that he lost a share of the lead, but he showed great battling qualities to run all the way to the line, coming back at the front pair in front of him. If he continues to progress in that vein, he should not remain a maiden for long.
