Taaffes Castle made it a winning debut when running out a game winner at Boulta. The son of Sandmason showed a willing attitude and well positioned throughout the race. Pat Collins sent his mount to the front at the final fence and the pair kept on gamely for a convincing victory over Morningside. Taaffes Castle looks a fine staying type and the fits the profile of a horse that should develop into a smart sort over fences. He is a nicely bred sort and is from the family of Speedmaster and Straight Arrow.
