Look Alive made an impressive debut to take the five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Stradbally as the only newcomer in the eleven-runner field. Ridden by James Kenny, the son of Arakan made all of the running, jumping well throughout before galloping on strongly to the line in the closing stages. The Colin-Bowe-trained gelding deserves great credit for this successful effort, as Stradbally is difficult track for a young horse to make their debut. The gelding is a full brother to Ardlethen who won his point debut in Boulta last May and has subsequently gone on to win two hurdles this season for Dan Skelton. This is certainly a smart looking individual that could be exciting under rules.
