Switch Hitter made the perfect start to his career when scoring in the Open Maiden point-to-point at Maisemore on 14th April for the Francesca Nimmo team. The good looking four-year-old son of Scorpion was waited with early under Tommie O'Brien before making rapid headway down the back straight to move into contention and give chase to the runaway leader. He picked the leader up rounding the bend for home and cleared away after the last to win by 4 1/2 lengths at the line in the fastest time of the day. This was a very promising debut performance suggesting he has a big future on the track proper for new connections.
