The John O’Donovan-trained Commit Or Quit finished a very close second on his only start to date in the four-year-old maiden at Dromahane in early April. The imposing son to Tobougg was settled in mid division by Chris O’Donovan, before sweeping through to pick up the advantage on the run to the penultimate obstacle. While headed by the eventual winner on the run to the last, where a slow leap didn’t help his chances, the debutant showed no signs of stopping in the closing stages rallying all the way to the line. This was certainly a promising debut from this rangy sort, who looks open to plenty of progression in the future.
