Spyglass Hill made a very promising debut at Dromahane when finishing second to the highly regarded Hill Sixteen in a competitive five-year-old maiden. One of seven newcomers in the 14-runner field, the son of Morozov was ridden close to the leader throughout and produced a strong challenge at the final fence where he showed a game attitude to battle well to the line to finish one length behind the winner. Spyglass Hill is out of a half-sister to the Grade two winner Jamies Choice as well as being from the family of the Grade one winning hurdler, Beat That. From a proven National Hunt winning family, Spyglass Hill lost little in defeat and is bred to develop into a smart track sort that could have a lot to offer to new connections.
