Executive Capilano heads to the sales following her success in the five-and-six-year-old mares’ maiden at Ballyragget in March. The good-looking daughter of Milan made her debut appearance at Punchestown in February where she finished fourth. Building on that experience gained on her initial start, Executive Capilano tracked leaders throughout and progressed to lead from the penultimate fence where she asserted clear and held a strong advantage over her rivals on the run-in to win by a comfortable 10 lengths. The Donnchadh Doyle-trained mare is out of a half-sister to the high class Watson Lake and looks like a mare that will be a real addition to any trainer’s yard in mares’ races over the coming seasons.
