Donjon has gathered a wealth of experience in his five point-to-point starts to date and recorded his second career success at Castletown-Geoghegan. The five-year-old had three runs last season having ran a creditable race on debut at the same track when exciting at the final fence when in third position in a four-year-old maiden. Donjon’s first success came at Durrow in March on his seasonal reappearance and he stepped up to winners’ company with ease on his latest start having recorded a six length success. Leading from flag fall, Donjon made it a pillar-to-post victory and travelled noticeably well throughout where he returned home a convincing winner of some experienced rivals. Out of the six-time French winning mare, Mona Lisa, he is also from the family of the dual Grade three chase winner Oiseau De Nuit. With improvement coming from each of his runs, Donjon looks like a horse that could be a real money spinner for his new connections.
