Mr Lingo created a very big impression on his debut as he stormed clear to win by an emphatic eight-lengths at Dromahane this month. Well-bred as a half-brother to Tom Mullins' 2012 Galway Plate winner Bob Lingo, this Curtain Time gelding always travelled well just off the pace. Taking up the lead from six out, he was five-lengths clear approaching the final fence. The Joseph Ryan-trained horse who was clearly suited by the good ground on the day, bounded clear on the run-in and won with the minimal amount of fuss in a time five seconds faster than the day’s average. A rangey, scopey type, he looks to be a very exciting individual and has to be expected to develop into a high class track performer judging by his initial effort in a big field four-year-old maiden.
