Westerner Ocean has shown real consistency on all four starts this year since finishing second at The Pigeons in March. The five-year-old mare has been in the runner up spot on three of her four starts when only beaten a length and a half on two of those occasions this spring. After making much of the running on her latest outing, she was only headed after three out when tiring and ran much better than finishing fifth would indicate. A half-sister to the bumper winner in Robinsson, the Ger Corrigan-trained mare should have little difficulty in winning in the near future and taking her maiden should be a mere formality.
