Having the experience of two placed runs in hurdle races in France, Silver Louna was unlucky on her debut run in point-to-points when unseating her rider at the second fence. The daughter of Silver Cross has been a model of consistency since then having finished second on her last three starts which includes a second behind the highly respected Clear Symbol at Rathcannon in May. Ridden close to the leader on that occasion, the six-year-old mare tried valiantly to close on the winner in the home straight but just fell short finishing three lengths behind in the runner-up spot. The Pat O’Rourke-trained mare posted two more solid efforts at Dromahane and Kinsale and has to be considered banker material for maiden success in the future.
