King Of The Clothe has yet to get his head in front, but his turn won't be too far away going by his efforts to date. The son of Milan made his debut in a competitive looking five-year-old maiden at Ballyvodock. He has showcased plenty of ability this spring and again ran with real promise when finishing second at Kinsale most recently. The five-year-old led for much of his latest start and was only headed at the second last fence. Despite failing to get his head in front in five runs on the point-to-point circuit, the Donnchadh Doyle-trained gelding has been a model of consistency for his connections and has shown enough to suggest he is a nice type that is well capable of winning races in the future.
