Ask The Tycoon has shown marked improvement in his three runs in point-to-points this season and heads to the sale on the back of a victory at Ballingarry on the final weekend. Having finished fifth at Fairyhouse on debut, the son of Ask took a step forward with a bold round of jumping to lose his maiden tag under Paul Cawley on his most recent start. The Ask gelding was never far from the pace, and he responded gamely to answer every question posed of him by his rider inside the final half-a-mile to return home the two and a half-length winner. The Denis Hogan-trained gelding seems to possess a mix of pace and stamina and given the improvement which he has shown this season, he should be able to take a further step-up in the near future.
