Oldtown Polly has shown marked improvement on her latest start when winning the five-year-old-and-upwards maiden at Kirkistown in March on what was her fifth start to date. The six-year-old’s previous run saw her finish third to Quinnsborotemptress at Armagh in February. Leading for much of the race, Oldtown Polly held a strong advantage over her rivals between the final two fences where she stayed on well to win by six lengths at the finish in what was very testing ground conditions. Having clearly progressed from each run this season, Oldtown Polly looks like a mare that could provide plenty of entertainment for her new connections.
