Wayfinder made an exciting debut at Belharbour in February when finishing fourth to Envious Editior in a four-year-old maiden on what was the opening weekend for this age category. Improving from this debut performance, Wayfinder finished runner-up on his next start at Durrow behind the exciting Treasure Dillon. The Warren Ewing-ridden gelding was prominent for much of the early part of the race before running in mid-division where he made up good ground after the third last fence and stayed on strongly in the home straight to take the runner-up spot. Out of a half-sister to Mattock Ranger, Pollywollydoodle and Over Siberia, Wayfinder has shown himself to be a decent youngster that is bred to develop into a smart sort on the track and could have a lot to offer to new connections.
