Pleasant Hill made her debut a winning one when she took the five-year-old-and-upwards mares’ maiden at Cragmore in February. Given a patient ride until progressing to dispute the lead on the run to the penultimate fence where she quickly took up the lead on the run to the final obstacle and stayed on well to win by three lengths at the finish. The daughter of Mountain High always travelled well throughout and showed a likeable attitude on what was testing ground conditions. Out of the winning mare Castlehaven, Pleasant Hill is a sister to four winners as well as being from the family of Grade one winner Scolardy and the former champion two-year-old, Eva Luna to name just a few and looks a mare that can develop into a smart track performer.
