Lot 264: a fourth purchase at tis year's Derby Sale for the Tom Malone and Paul Nicholls partnership – the pair going to €110,000 for the Walk In The Park gelding out of Lourdes (Le Havre) and from Tom and Alexandra Whitehead's Altenbach Bloodstock, who pinhooked the gelding as an early yearling for €60,000 in 2022.

Leading sire Walk In The Park has had 13 lots sell for an average price of €66,000 and a turnover of €858,000. (13:40)

Lot 255: another six-figure sale for Oak Tree Farm – this gelding by Walk In The Park and out of Las Princess makes €110,000 to Denis Hogan. The horse was pinhooked as a foal for €56,000 at the November NH Sale by Oak Tree buying from Dunahall Stud.

Las Princess is an Oscar half-sister to Harbour Pilot, winner of the Drinmore Chase (G1), the Dr P J Moriarty Novice Chase (G2) and was a runner-up in the Punchestown Gold Cup (G1).

It is also the family of the Grade 2 winner and Supreme Novices Hurdle (G1) runner-up Get M e Out Of Here, the Grade 2-winning hurdler and Supreme Hurdle (G1) third-placed River Wylde, the Grade 2-winning chaser Living Next Door, and the Grade 1 chase winner Glamorgan Duke (13:19)

Lot 249: "In the 15 years I have been doing this, Poet's Word is the one stallion who has absolutely blown me away before he has had a runner," enthused Malone after paying €120,000 for the Poet's Word half-brother to JPR One, winner of the Lightning Novices Chase (G2).

"That spoke volumes for me. I never went out looking for a Poet's Word but my shortlist at the last sale had nine on it, and I went 'Woah, ok!' I don't look at that until the shortlist is done, and it made me think that I have got to study this lad a bit more! He is throwing beautiful stock and they just have to run fast."

Malone added of this Galbertstown Stables-consigned gelding: "He is typical of our type, a big chasing store. He will take a bit of time, but he is a beautiful animal and has seriously light action for his size. We both fell in love with him and wanted to take him home.

"JPR One has been a good horse in England and I had another half-brother in Truckers Pass unfortunately he got a leg but he was a decent animal as well. This horse made perfect sense to us."

The gelding was born on June 2nd, a late date which Malone admitted was a factor that he and Nicholls factored into their purchasing decision.

"His late birth date was something that put him on and off the list as he is a big boy, but his movement is so light, that switched us on and kept us on." (12:59)

Lot 243: the first lot in today for Walter Connors' Sluggara Farm, a March-born gelding by Doctor Dino, makes €70,000. He is out of the good Kapgarde mare La Garde Royale, who finished third in the Prix La Perichole Chase (G3) and the Prix James Hennessy Chase (L), and is a half-sister to two Saints Des Saints graded race-winning siblings.

The gelding was bought as a foal by Seamus Murphy and Connors in France for €47,000. (12:20)

Lot 238: the Walk In The Park close-relation to the four-time Grade 1-winning chaser Might Bite, one of the best horses to have run through 2015-2020, makes €105,000, joining the Monbeg Stables draft signed for by Eamon Doyle.

"He is a fine horse, with a top pedigree," said Doyle. "These are the best horses here at the Derby Sale and with lucky hopefully this horse will be back for resale at the Festival Sale."

Sold by Manister House, the gelding is also a half-brother to Beat That, winner of the Sefton Novices Hurdle (G1) and the War Of Attrition Hurdle (G1).

The three-year-old is the 14th purchase at the sale so far for leading buyer Monbeg Stables.

Consignor Luke Barry of Manister House said: "He is by arguably the best stallion around and has a pedigree to die for. We sold his full-brother here last year and this horse is a little taller than he was at this stage in his development, but they are two lovely horses. He came from a great breeder in County Limerick."

And of the rest of his draft, Barry added: "I've a lovely homebred Crystal Ocean filly to sell a little later on today." (12:13)

Lot 218: Jardin De Tunis has a career in the point-to-point field ahead of him, bought by Matty Flynn O'Connor of Ballycrystal Stud and Jim O'Neill for €110,000.

The gelding, sold by Lakefield Farm, is the first of three by the sire entered in the sale, and O'Neil, brother to this year's joint-champion point-to-point jockey Barry O'Neil and involved in the gelding's new ownership, said: "This is the first by the sire we have bought, he is a gorgeous horse and came well recommended by John Bleahen, hopefully he does the job. We will get him home, broken and then tick away and look for a four-year-old point-to-point.

Of purchasing strategy, he said: "We buy the individual rather than the page. I have around 20 pointers and have shares with Matty, Colin Bowe, Sean Doyle. It has been difficult to buy the nice ones, but this is the place to get them, if we don't get them here we won't get anything. "

Jardin De Tunis is a half-brother to the graded performer Joie Du Net and from the family of numerous graded winners and runners in France, as well as Yanworth, whose eight wins included the Liverpool Stayers' Hurdle (G1) and the Christmas Hurdle (G1).

Tunis is a son of Estejo, who won three graded hurdles in France headed up when successful in the Prix Amadou (G2). He also twice finished second in Grade 1 hurdles at Auteuil. He retired to Haras de Cercy in 2019, his first crop are four-year-olds of this year and he has already had two Listed winners – Kiss Langy, winner of the Prix James Hennessy at Auteuil, and Ella Duchic, a winner over hurdles at Compiegne. Lot 208: Frank Berry signs for the Affinisea half-brother to Fiddlerontheroof (Stowaway), winner of the Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle and Grade 1 placed over fences for Colin and Joe Tizzard.

"He is grand horse, a lot of the lads liked him, the sire is doing well. He will be one of the first ones we have had by the sire and let's hope he is lucky," said Berry.

Underbidder was Ross Doyle, who with Colin Tizzard purchased Fiddlerontheroof in 2019 after the son of Stowaway had run twice in point-to-points and finished fifth behind Monkfish on his second start at Stowlin.

Affinisea stands at Whytemount Stud, which stood the late Stowaway throughout his stallion career. (11:02)

Lot 204: Kevin Ross, who bought this first lot in the ring today, will be hoping that the son of Crystal Ocean maintains former trends.

The gelding has been purchased for trainer Henry Daly, and Ross said: "We have previously bought three for Henry and they have all won.

"We thought this is a quality horse, out of lovely, black-type King's Theatre mare with a proper back pedigree."

Dam I'm All You Need was a winner over hurdles and fences and a Listed runner-up over fences. Her dam Jolie Landaise (Beaudelaire) was a half-sister to the talented pair Makounji, dam of the Listed winner Roulez Cool, and Bilboa, who is dam of the Listed winner Enjoy It, and the two black-type performers The West's Awake and Three Wise Men.

It is also the family of the 2023 Listed bumper winner and Tattersalls Cheltenham graduate Brechin Castle. (10:55)

Lot 177: the Jukebox Jury gelding from Brook Lodge Farm is sold to Kevin Ross for €120,000, he is a half-brother to the five-time winner Sunday Soldier.

His dam Fortunes Harvest is a half-sister to Doctor Kaleo, a Listed winner over fences in France and grand-dam of Golden Legend, a two-time Group 3 winner and Grade 1 runner-up in the E P Taylor Stakes, and of the Listed-winning hurdler Doctor Squeeze.

The gelding was pinhooked for €42,000 as a foal at the November National Hunt Sale. (18:05)

Lot 169: the bidding for Sunshineway, a gelding by Galiway and one of the expected stars of the day, sped up from its opening price of €30,000 to six figures when it turned into a battle between Olly Murphy and Ross Doyle,

Doyle was determined to buy the gelding, a half-brother to the Listed winner and Group-placed Flat runner Styleargent, and he got his wish at €170,000.

"He will go to Sam Curling for pre-training and then to Willie Mullins, he is for an established client," he said. "He was one of the two we had picked today for this specific owner and we were underbidder on the No Risk At All. We were very keen, and we had to push the boat out but that is what happens with these special horses." (17:43)

Lot 147: a seventh lot today sells for six figures, the Poet's Word gelding from Ballyreddin & Bushertown making €100,000, bought by Milestone Bloodstock.

He is out of the six-time winner Dinaria Des Obeaux (Saddler Maker), who was a Grade 3-winning and Grade 1-placed juvenile hurdler. She was also a Grade 2 winner over fences and Grade 1 fourth in the Drinmore Novices Chase (G1). (16:34)

Lot 137: Olly and Aiden Murphy underbidders earlier in the day were the successful purchasers at €110,000 of this gelding by Order Of St George and offered by Abbey Stables.

He is out of the Mastercraftsman mare Crafted Mastery, and she is an own-sister to Grade 1-placed juvenile hurdler Grey Waters, and a half-sister to the US Listed performer Rijeka. (16:30)

Lot 115: another purchase for Harold Kirk / W P Mullins , this time with MV Magnier also on the buyers' sheet, the trio going to €120,000 for the Baroda Stud-consigned gelding by Crystal Ocean.

He is a third foal out of the Yeats mare Carrowmore, a half-sister to the Top Novices Hurdle (G1) winner Pingshou, the Grade 2 winner Magic Of Light and two placed black-type runners, Sizing Platinium and Mughas.

Third dam Autocratic produced the Tattersalls Gold Cup (G2) winner Fair Of The Furze, dam of the champion White Muzzle, the German St Leger (G1) winner Fair Question and Elfaslah, dam of Almutawakel, winner of the Dubai World Cup (G1) and the Prix Jean Prat (G1). (15:57)

Lot 109: Laska D'Airy, a half-sister to two winners, is bought by Ryan Mahon / Dan Skelton Racing for €90,000 from Oak Tree Farm.

"She is a lovely filly, big, scopey and a very fluid mover with a nice pedigree," said Mahon. "I loved her, she is for Dan. She is the first by the sire we have bought, hopefully she is lucky."

Norman Williamson sold her and Lot 103 and he said: "Both are beautiful horses, bought at the same time. The Doctor Dino gelding cost plenty, but he is a gorgeous horse with a great pedigree and thankfully he turned back in here as a beautiful horse and thank you to Mags O'Toole and I think it was Ross Doyle as underbidder. Let's hope he goes on, for Doctor Dino I thought he was really good mover and good-looker and everyone seemed to like him.

"I absolutely fell in love with the Motivator filly when I saw her and I thought she'd transform for a year, and she did. She is a beautiful moving filly, and going to a top trainer. She is a scopey mare who looks as though she jump a fence eventually."

He added of Lot 23, sold for €92,000: "The Jukebox Jury was bought here as a foal and the Doyles bought him from me here having also bought Theflyingking, also by the sire, from me the year before." (15:51)

Lot 103: "We should have bought him last year when we saw him in France!" laughed Mags O'Toole, adding: "So we have had to give Norman [Williamson] the icing on the cake, but at least we have him now."

Williamson, under his Oak Tree Farm banner, bought the gelding by Doctor Dino, who is named Bouffon Has, as a two-year-old for €95,000 and sold the horse today for €170,000.

The horse is a half-brother to Botox Has (Dream Well) winner of the National Spirit Hurdle (G2), the Rendlesham Hurdle (G2), the West Yorkshire Hurdle (G2) and Haydock's Stayers Handicap Hurdle (G3).

It is the further family of the Grade 1-placed Long Walk Hurdle performer Starzan and Sestino, who finished third in the Prix du Jockey-Club (G1). (14:54)

Lot 86: after the bidding was opened up by Tom Malone at €100,000 for Boedic, a three-year-old gelding by No Risk At All, it skipped along at speed to the final winning bid of €175,000, which was given by Harold Kirk for Willie Mullins.

"That was a bit of a shock!" said Kirk when referencing the starter bid. "I had to get into gear."

He added: "This horse is my number one for today, he is by one of my favourite sires and the dam was a very good cross country mare, which we love as we have had some very good horses out of cross country mares. He is a stunning individual, has fantastic movement and he just ticked every box. Everytime I saw him I loved him more and he is for an owner in Willie's yard.

"He is not a big, heavy horse, he is very athletic and he should not take a load of time – a lot of No Risk At Alls can come to hand quickly."

The gelding was sold by Michael O'Brien's Creighmore Stables.

"My first reaction was I hope someone else goes on!" laughed O'Brien when asked of his reaction when the bidding opened up at the six figures. He went on explain his association with the horse: "He was bought privately by Seamus Murphy as a foal in France. He has been owned by myself and Walter Connors and he has always been a lovely sort."

Of his thoughts coming into today's sale, he said: "I was hoping that he was going to be an important horse today and I am delighted that he is going to Willie Mullins, and a lot of people told me that they thought he is the nicest horse today."

From County Cork, O'Brien, who has another four to sell here this week, added: "It is only my second year selling under my own banner. I was with Walter for three years and have now headed out myself." (14:32)

Lot 81: the only lot offered over this week's two-day Derby Sale by the globetrotting, two-time Grade 1 winner Mondialiste, who now stands at Haras de Longechaux in France near to the German border, is bought by Ross Doyle and Joe Tizzard for €42,000.

He is the second foal out of the Urban Poet mare Barely Black, a half-sister to Scottish Grand National winner Takingrisks.

Doyle, standing with Tizzard, said: "Joe asked me about the stallion and I told him that he probably punching above his weight as he probably would not have seen big books. This is a fine horse, his physical is fantastic and Joe is looking for a sharp horse who might make up into a bumper horse or a dual-purpose type. He fitted the bill big time."

Mondialiste's leading runner on the Flat is Mondo Man, who finished fifth in this year's Prix du Jockey-Club (G1) and fourth in last week's King Edward VII Stakes (G2) at Royal Ascot. (14:11)

Lot 68: Tom Malone, standing with Paul Nicholls, outbids Olly Murphy, who was alongside his father Aiden, for this filly by No Risk At All at €95,000.

Named La Misterite, she was sold by Lakefield Farm and is a first foal out of the Martaline mare Apokalypsine D'Oro.

She is a daughter of the Listed-placed Apokalypse and from the family of the Group 2 Flat winner Allianthus and the US Grade 1 winner A Raving Beauty, who was also a runner-up in the Premio Lydia Tesio (G1) and finished third in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1). (13:15)

Lot 47: the first of four lots due in the ring this week by Kapgarde is signed for by Doyle / Wychwood / Tizzard at €85,000.

The filly was sold by Walter Connors' Sluggara Farm and is out of a winning Network half-sister to Editeur Du Gite, winner of the Clarence House Chase (G1), the Desert Orchid Chase (G2) twice and the Red Rum Chase (G3). (13:00)

Lot 45: Lismakeera Stud gets its best result in the Tattersalls Ireland sale ring to date selling this Jukebox Jury gelding for €75,000. It was a good pinhook result for the farm, too, having paid just €14,500 for the gelding as a foal.

The bay gelding was a bit of a stand out in the ring, with three long white socks and a big white blaze, and was bought by Olly Murphy / Aiden Murphy.

The stud's Donal Hayes said: "When we saw him as a foal we loved his movement, and he has those big white socks and that put off some people off but we don't mind a bit of flash and colour. We'd also seen some by the sire as three-year-olds and loved his stoc.

"This horse has just done well and he is a big, strong horse now. Everyone who saw him here seemed to like him."

Hayes added: "We are in West Limerick we have a beef farm and I have come on board alongside my father – my uncle John Hayes produced Gold Cup winners off the farm. We've sold a lot of winning point-to-pointers in the last few years and it is great to get this result. We will be back here in November!"

Since the catalogue was published his Walk In The Park half-sister She Can Do It has been placed once in a N.H. Flat Race. She is the first runner and first foal for the Schiaparelli dam Wrong Impression. (12:50)

Lot 30 and Lot 32: two by the leading French-based stallion No Risk At All are bought for €90,000 and €50,000.

Harold Kirk and W P Mullins go to €90,000 for the chesnut gelding Lucifer d'Ainay (Lot 30), who is out of a Saint Des Saints half-sister to the French Grade 2 winner and Grade 1-placed Louping D'Ainay, sold by Glenvale Stud.

Lot 32 is a filly out of Version Officielle (Air Chief Marshal), who is a half-sister to The Stomp, a 21-time winner, placed 16-times and winner of £759,000 in prize-money earnings. Bought by Highflyer Bloodstock, her pedigree traces to the leading Flat runners – the champion two-year-old filly of 2000 Superstar Leo, and One Master, the three-time winner of the Prix de la Foret (G1). (12:16)

Lot 27: The already named L'Unique Allen, the Beaumec de Houelle half-brother to the talented by ill-fated Hermes Allen, is bought by Tom Malone for €100,000 from Sluggara Farm.

Malone, standing with trainer Paul Nicholls who trained the half-brother to win four races including the Grade 1 Challow Novices Hurdle, said: "This horse is already two inches bigger than Hermes Allen! He is a nice animal, he ticked a lot of boxes and is a very saleable horse for Paul.

"We have a good few by Beaumaec de Houelle, and have bought two or three by him this year, too. They are all very slick and racy, athletic and they come to hand quick so, hopefully, this horse will be the same."

Dam Une Destine (Assessor) was placed over fences and won the Prix Andre Michel Hurdle (G3) (11:50)

Lot 23: the Jukebox Jury gelding sold by Oak Tree Farm makes €92,000, bought by Sean Doyle of Monbeg Farm.

He said: "He is a beautiful horse and is bred on the same cross as the Theflyingking, who we also bought from Norman [Williamson]."

Theflyingking was bought for €105,000 and he went on to win his four-year-old maiden on his debut at Loughanmore for Donnachadh Doyle

Doyle added: "Let's hope this horse can do the same."

He is out of the Flemensfirth mare Turica, a half-sister to the multiple graded race winners and Grade 1 winners Carlingford Lough and Thisthatandtother and the Grade 1-placed The Tother One.

The gelding was a €46,000 pinhook purchase for Oak Tree Farm at the Tattersalls Ireland November NH Foal Sale. (11:30)

Lot 17: regular Tattersalls Ireland store horse purchaser, the UK-based trainer Tom Lacey, buys this Shirocco gelding from Belleville.

He is a half-brother to the Westerner Listed bumper winner Tiger Bay Queen, as well as another winner, the two runners so far out of his Flemensfirth winning dam Tiger Bay Lady.

Lacey bought the two-time Punchestown Champion Chase (G1) and Queen Mother Champion Chase winner (G1) Energumene at the Derby Sale in 2017. (11:09)

Lot 9: this week's first in the ring by Walk In The Park makes €105,000, bought by Michael Hyde, standing on the balcony with JP McManus's racing manager Frank Berry and Derek O'Connor.

Hyde said: "He's lovely horse and the sire has been very successful for us". Berry agreed and added that "we hope he will be lucky for us."

Sold by Woodhouse Stud, the three-year-old bay gelding is out of an own sister to Gunnery Sergeant, placed third in the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle (G1) and a half-sister to two graded placed runners.

Under the third dam are the graded winners Celtic Son and Lunar Path, Junior and Davids Charm, who was Grade 1-winning hurdler. (11:00)

Lot 6: a first purchase at this year's Derby Sale for Monbeg Stables, this son of the leading NH sire Blue Bresil bought by Cormac Doyle for €80,000 from consignor Redbridge Stables.

His Kayf Tara dam Tell It To Me was a bumper winner for Nicky Henderson and is out of the good mare Liberthine, winner of the Mildmay Of Flete Challenge Cup (G3), who is a sister to the 15-time winner Long Run, whose victories which included the Gold Cup (G1). (10:48)

Lot 234: Billy Goff buys this Vadamos gelding out of the Kalanisi mare Super Sonic Lady for €21,000 from Stone Lodge Stud, selling on behalf of breeder Kevin McCoy.

The headline performer on the pedigree page is To Your Honour, a Grade 3-winning chaser, placed at the highest level over hurdles as well as in the Grade 1 Champion INH Flat race at Punchestown. (19:40)

Lot 209: Tom Keating spends €21,000 on the Vadamos gelding from Noughaville Stud for Mrs M Hefferman.

Roughan Daisy is a half-sister to Dedigout, a ten-time winner, including once at the highest level when successful in the Punrchestown Champion Novice Hurdle (G1).

Vadamos's leading jump performer so far is the King Of Kingsfield, who finished second in the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle (G1) and third in the Brave Inca Novice Hurdle (G1) and the Punchestown Champion INH Flat Race (G1). It is a fourth purchase today for Keating. (19:27)

Lot 201: the Crystal Ocean gelding out of the French Listed Prix Wild Monarch Hurdle second-placed Really Royale makes €24,000. The mare's placed daughter Kahipiroska is dam of the Italian Grade 1-winning hurdle Vodka Wells

He was sold by Shanaville Stables to Canterbrook Stud having been bought by Morgan Sheehan as a foal at the November NH Sale. (18:33)

Lot 190: whatever one Bleahen brother can do, the other can match.

After John Bleahen sold the Jack Hobbs gelding for €42,000 (Lot 187), Niall Bleahen's Liss House sells a gelding in the same ballpark figure – this son of Affinisea is bought by the Crawford Bros for €40,000.

Stuart Crawford said: "We will get him home, get him broken in. He might be a bit more of a bumper horse, but he is a nice type. There have been two of three Affiniseas in today and they have all been very athletic and nice horses. We have had a few in the past and they have been tight, hardy horses.

"That is the only one I have bought here today, and I am happy to be taking him home."

Niall Bleahen said: "Last year I topped the sale and got the second-highest price and I wanted to bring another good horse to the sale again. I thought he deserved it, it was good to see him get over the line. He is a very nice horse and has a very good attitude – I think he'd make up into a four-year-old.

"He has gone to a good customer, he has been back a few times to buy and I recommended this horse to him and to the underbidder Sean Doyle as well. They took me at my word and I am delighted to see that – those clients are good to us. Whether you lose money or gain it, you have to do right by the clients and the horses.

"Funny Hunny in the second dam was placed for Sean and has gone to Dan Skelton, so Sean had a line on the family and had confidence in the pedigree, but the horse explained himself anyway."

The gelding was pinhooked by Bleahen as a foal at the November NH Sale for €11,000 from Whytemount Stud. (18:12)

Lot 188: the already-named Lady Blackmore, a daughter of the progressive Haras de la Hetraie-based sire Bathyrhon, goes to Milestone Bloodstock / James Kenny for €45,000.

"She has been bought with Colin Bowe," said Kenny, who produces horse with his father Liam. "I love her, she has a very good temperament, has a lovely way of going, walks well, lovely presence. Her stallion has not done a whole lot wrong. She will go to Colin's and, hopefully, we will see her out in the point-to-point field."

Sold by Galbertstown Stables, she is out of the five-time winner Pennsylvanie (Dadarissime), a sister to the dam of Jango Baie, the Grade 1 winner of the Tolworth Hurdle.

The son of Tiger Groom is a Tattersalls Ireland May Sale graduate when sold by Lakefield Farm to Matt Graham. After finishing second on his point-to-point debut, the horse was reconsigned at the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale 2023 by Moate Stables when bought by Jerry McGrath Bloodstock for £170,000. Lot 187: Sean Doyle of Monbeg Stables signs for this Jack Hobbs gelding out of the winning bumper mare Penelope Pips (Presenting) at €42,000.

He said: "He is a big strong horse, and very good mover, I looked at him three times today and he stood out every time I saw him, I am delighted to have him on the team now. He comes from a good farm and we have had luck with them before – hopefully he will go on and do something. This is the first by the sire we have had, and I love to buy horses out of Presenting mares."

John Bleahen said: "I paid £10,500 for him as a foal and he was the same horse he is today – he just walked and, though I am a fan of Jack Hobbs, there is a lot of Presenting in him from the mare. She won at four and that does it for me. I had some shrewd men on him with Warren Ewing, Sean Doyle and Mick Goff, they have been lucky with our horses in the past and it is all about repeat business.

"I did expect every bit of that, but he will get a wonderful opportunity where he is going."

He added: "I thought he might be a bit of a stand out here, which he was. There is an adjustment in the market at present, and we adjust with the market – we have crops coming behind and we have to keep moving forwards."

The family stretches back to the 18-time winner Auntie Dot, Townley Stone and Father Paddy. (17:49)

Lot 181: this gelding by Affinisea, a 13-year-old son of Sea The Stars, is sold by Ballywoodan House Stud for €31,000 to Warren Ewing.

Out of the Flemesnfirth mare, he hails from the talented family of Dr P J Moriarty Chase (G1) winner J'Y Vole, the French Lisred winner JeanQuiri, the Grade 2 winner and Grade 1 placed Lifetime Ambition, the Grade 1 placed Life In The Park, and the Grade 2 winners My Sister Sarah and Ilovethenightlife. Lot 166: John Queally goes to €17,500 for the Jet Away gelding out of the Beneficial mare Nia, the dam of one winner.

The stallion is the second-leading sire in the session by turnover – seven lots sold for €69,000m behind Success Days, whose three sold so far have created a turnover of €83,500.

The 17-year-old Jet Away, a son of Cape Cross, stands at Arctic Tack Stud, and his leading horse is the Grade 1-winning mare Brandy Love. (16:49)

Lot 151: the gelding from the second crop of the Galileo sire Idaho and out of Miss Opera (Alflora) is purchased by Denis Hayes for €20,000 from Castledillon Stud.

He is from the fine family of Opera Hat, a 13-time winner over fences including the Grade 1 Melling Chase, she was also placed 18 times, four times at Grade 1 level. She is dam of the Grade 1 chaser and Grade 2 hurdler Woodland Opera.

Since the catalogue was published, the gelding's half-brother Ez Tiger (Sholokhov) has a second race over hurdles. (16:29)

Lot 145: this three-year-old gelding by the Shade Oak Stud-based sire Telescope sells for €30,000, bought by Monbeg Stables.

He is a half-brother to two winners – the five-time winner Road Warrior, and Theformismighty, a winner over hurdles this year. His second dam Maid Equal won the Grade 2 Long Distance Hurdle at Ascot.

"Telescope is going well, this lad caught my eye in the yard and we have waited for him," said Cormac Doyle.

He was sold by Clonamery Stud, which spent €8,000 when buying him as a foal at the Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale 2021. (15:38)

Lot 140: the Yeats full-sister to Mary, third placed in a Listed mares' hurdle at Newbury, is bought by Ronnie O'Neill for €15,000. The filly is also a half-sister to Give Me A Moment (Mountain High), who has won twice over hurdles and five-times over fences.

Dam Maryann is a Bob's Return half-sister to Wymott (Witness Box), winner of the Prestige Hurdle (G2), and to the Grade 2-winning chaser Testify.

She was sold by Deerpark Stables for breeder Charlie Walsh (15:35)

Lot 121: AJM Horses goes to €15,000 for the Flag Of Honour gelding from Shanaville Stables. The March-born gelding is out of the Take Risks mare Lady Hight, a half-sister to Mister Hight, a runner-up in the Ballysax Stakes (G2) and winner of the Spring Juvenile Hurdle (G2).

Flag Of Honour's first crop are three-year-olds of this year. The stallion's form highlight came when successful in the Irish St Leger (G1) having previously been a Group 3 and Group 2 winner of the Curragh Cup and the Irish St Leger Trial.

He also finished second in the Tattersalls Gold Cup (G1).

By Galileo he now stands at Ballycurragh Stud having started out at the National Stud in the UK. (15:24)

Lot 116: the Diamond Boy half-brother to the Grade 3 novice hurdle and chase winner and multiple graded race performer Robin Des Carlow is bought by J D Moore for €21,000. He was sold by Stone Lodge Stud as Agent.

Second dam Nas Na Riogh was a Grade 1 winner of the Finale Junior Hurdle nand this horse was originally purchased by B McConville at the Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale 2021 for €8,000 (15:09)
