Lot 4: the grey Fast Company three-quarters sister to the Irish 1,000 Guineas winner sells for €18,000, bought by trainer Johnny Murtagh.

She was sold by Tinnakill House.

Murtagh also bought the following lot: an Excelebration colt from Manister House Stud for €10,000. He is out of the dual winner Satwa Pearl. (10:11)

Lot 6: is bought by Bobby O'Ryan for €50,000.

The bay colt is an own-brother to Washington Singer Stakes (L) winner Escobar, a son of Famous Name who achieved a BHA career high of 106.

The colt, born in February 2018, he is also a half-brother to Listed performers in Hong Kong and America, while his dam Saying Grace (Brief Truce) was a four-time Listed placed runner and finished third in the Prix d'Astarte (G2).

Lot 10: trainer Sheila Lavery got quick recompense after missing out on Lot 6 when successfully buying the first yearling by Kodi Bear to sell in the Tattersalls Ireland sales ring for €50,000.

Sold by Grange Hill Stud, she is from an excellent fillies' family.

She is a half-sister to Isabeau (Cable Bay), third in this year's Tipperary Stakes (L) and second in the Curragh Stakes (L).

The filly's second dam Illusion was a Listed placed winner and her third dam Fantasize was a Listed winner.

Under the fourth dam are the Group 1 runners Dazzle, winner of the Cherry Hinton Stakes, Baschar, third in the Grosser Preis von Berlin, and Hooray, a champion European two-year-old filly in 2010. (10:26)

Lot 13: the first to sell at the September Sale by Derrinstown Stud's Awtaad, the winner of the Irish 2,000 Guineas (G1) and placed third in the St James's Palace Stakes (G1), makes €52,000. He was bought by Star Bloodstock with Byron Rogers.

From Herbertstown Stud, the colt is out of an own-sister to Haafhd, a European champion colt in 2004, winner of the Champion Stakes and the 2,000 Guineas.

The siblings are out of Al Bahathri (Blushing Groom), a champion filly in Ireland in 1985, winner of the Irish 1,000 Guineas. (10:33)

Lot 26: the Declaration Of War filly sold by Peter Nolan Bloodstock makes €70,000.

She is bought by US agent Justin Casse.

She is out of the Montjeu mare Silky, placed fourth in the Noblesse Stakes (G3), and from the family of Mubtaker, a champion older horse in 2010, winner of the Geoffrey Freer Stakes (G2) and runner-up in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (G1). (11:05)

Lot 35: from The Castlebridge Consignment this colt by first-crop sire Fascinating Rock sells for €50,000.

The yearling is out of So Secret, a Barathea own-sister to Listed winner and Group 3 runner-up Allexina. She is also a half-sister to Group 2 Doncaster Cup winner Saddler's Rock and the Group 2 winner Tarfasha.

It is the family of Irish St Leger runner-up Gamut, and Grade 1 winner Tannery. (11:15)

Lot 70: Longways Stables, which had such a good breeze-up sale season in the spring, goes to €40,000 for a son of first-crop sire Adaay (Kodiac).

The colt is out of the Kheleyf mare Touching – she won at two and was placed at Listed level.

She is the dam of four winners from four runners, including Brian Ryan, winner of a Group 3 in German and the top-rated son of the Royal Applause stallion, Finjaan. He has also been placed third in the Giant Sandman Polar Cup (G3) since the catalogue was published. (12:37)

Lot 80: a strong Dandy Man filly catches the bidders' eyes and the Kildallan farm-consigned filly fetches €50,000. She was bought as a foal last autumn by Woodleigh Stables for €25,000.

She is a half-sister to one winner and a full-sister to winner Danielsflyer, who was also placed second in the Listed Woodcote Stakes.

Her third dam is the former champion Turf filly in the US and the European champion older horse, All Along. (12:57)

Lot 85: turns a nice profit for the pinhook purchasers Grey Goose Bloodstock.

This Due Diligence colt, who was bought for just 5,000gns last winter, sells today for €27,000, bought by Mark McStay.

A half-brother to a dual winner, the colt is a from the family of the champion Grand Lodge.

Due Diligence has had a good season through 2019 with his first runners – he has had 14 winners, including the Group 3 Sirenia Stakes winner Streamline. (13:07)

Lot 92: the young dam Young Daisy Miller has had one runner so far – Flamingo Bay (Holy Roman Emperor), who has been placed as a two-year-old this year.

Her second foal sold today making €50,000, the son of Kodiac bought by Eamon Reilly of BBA Ireland.

Young Daisy Miller (Azamour) is a half-sister to two stakes horses by Montjeu – the Listed winner Miss You Too and Vitruvian Man, second in the Killavullan Stakes (G3).

It is also the family of Covert Love, a champion three-year-old in France and winner of the Irish Oaks (G1) and Prix de l'Opera (G1). She is a daughter of Azamour. (13:25)

Lot 75 and Lot 101: British trainer Karl Burke makes a second and third purchase today.

First, he spends €40,000 on a Poet's Voice colt from The Castlebridge Consignment.

The colt is from a speedy family and is out of a Compton Place half-sister to Lesson In Humility, who picked up Group 1 form when third in the Golden Jubilee Stakes.

Burke then goes €45,000 for a strong Elzaam colt from Ballyhane Stud. The colt is a half-brother to three winners from four runners out of the mare.

It is the family of Squeak, a dual Grade 1 winner in the US. (13:57)

Lot 94: De Burgh Equine and trainer Fozzy Stack go to €67,000 for a Starspangledbanner filly from Grove Stud.

Her unraced dam Zain Art (Excellent Art) is a half-sister to the multiple stakes race performer Battalion, while her third dam is the Group 3 winner Danzigaway. She is dam of the Grade 2 winner Silent Name and the young French-based sire Galiway. (14:03)

Lot 106: produces a fine pinhooking profit – this colt was bought as a foal for €5,000, and is sold today for €65,000.

He is a son of Night Of Thunder, whose first-crop has been doing so well on the track this summer – 22 winners, including the Group 3 winner Under The Stars.

He is from the family of Aspen Darlin, runner-up in the Cheveley Park Stakes (G1).

Consignor Jim Murphy of Redpender Stud said: "It just fell right today – the stallion has done so well this year.

"We didn't think there was much wrong with the colt when we bought him and his half-brother was already a 90-rated runner."

Bloodstock agent Federico Barberini said: "Night Of Thunder was a big plus – he has done very well, he looks very promising.

"This horse is very active, a real athlete and a sharp sort. He looks a real two-year-old type – he might race or breeze." (14:08)

Lot 117: the first in of three lots in the sale by leading sire Dark Angel makes €55,000.

The filly was sold by Grove Stud, bought at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale for 27,000gns by today's consignor.

She is a half-sister to three winners, and her dam American Spirit (Rock Of Gibraltar) is a half-sister to Authorized, a champion three-year-old in Europe and winner of the Derby, the Juddmonte International and the Racing Post Trophy. (14:22)

Lot 126: "He is a lovely stamp of a horse and is by a stallion who does well in Hong Kong so hopefully he'll be lucky," said Mick Kinane purchaser of this colt by Holy Roman Emperor bought on behalf of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Sold by The Castlebridge Consignment, the colt is out of a half-sister to the Listed winner and Group 3-placed Mashaahead (In The Wings) and to Freemantle (Galileo), a three-time winner in Hong Kong. (14:53)

Lot 143: this colt by Australia is bought by Amanda Skiffington for €65,000.

He is out of the unraced Giant's Causeway mare Became, the dam of one winner from three runners.

It is the extended family of the Grade 1 winner Key Phrase and the US champion Shared Belief.

The colt was offered as a foal by Graigue Stables, but was retained at €30,000. (15:22)

Lot 147: the bay filly by new sire The Last Lion makes €50,000.

She was sold by Rockview Stables pinhooked as a foal by the farm for just €17,500.

She is a grand-daughter of the talented juvenile Bianca Nera, a champion in Ireland in 1996 after winning the Moyglare Stud Stakes (G1).

She is a dam and ancestress of a host of stakes runners, the best of which include the champion older horse Postponed and the Grade 1-placed Turning Top. (15:35)

Lot 164: Hubie de Burgh and Fozzy Stack know what they like: the duo buy a second filly today by Starspangledbanner, adding to their previous purchase of Lot 94 who cost €67,000.

"She is really athletic and from a good family," said De Burgh. "We love Starspangledbanner – he has done really well from originally limited opportunities, he upgrades his mares."

This filly was sold by Croom House Stud and is half-sister to Endowing, a Danehill Dancer Group 2 winner in Hong Kong.

The family traces to the likes of Henrythenavigator, Nijinsky's Lover, Dolphin Street, Saffron Walden, Listen and Magician. (16:21)

Lot 183: "He has been bought for a client of Wesley Ward's and he goes out to the US to be trained by Wesley," said purchaser Eamon Reilly of BBA Ireland after spending €80,000 on this colt by Acclamation, adding:"He is out of a half-sister to Hootenanny, whom Wesley trained.

"I bought some yearlings last year, including a Kodiac filly from here, and they went out to Wesley's. They have all won so we are hoping for a repeat!"

Hootenanny won the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1), the Windsor Castle Stakes (L) at Royal Ascot, and finished second in the Prix Morny (G1). (17:06)

Lot 216: Blandford Bloodstock with trainer Archie Watson go to €62,000 for a filly by first-crop sire, Territories.

The filly's dam Deux Saisons (Chineur) was a dual winner in France, and is dam of winner from two runners,

She is a half-sister to Tin Horse, winner of the Poule d'Essai des Poulains (G1), and twice Group 1 runner-up as a two-year-old. (18:44)

Lot 226: competition was fierce for this son for Dark Angel with bids raining in from Paddy Twomey, Anna Ross and Ed Sackville, but it was Sackville who eventually won the war when placing a bid of €90,000.

Sackville and trainer Tom Dascombe have been a strong supporters of the September Sale for many years and just last weekend were rewarded by sale graduate Angel Alexander's victory in the Ayr Gold Cup.

"The sale has been good to us and we have also been lucky with Dark Angel – as evidenced by the win at the weekend!" smiled Sackville. "I said to Tom we should have bought this horse for €92,000 as that was the price we paid for Angel Alexander!

"His win at the weekend was fantastic –and it was great for his group of enthusiastic owners who have been good supporters of Tom's yard.

"This colt has a lovely page and is out of a highly rated mare. Let's hope he is as lucky!"

Dam Duchess Andorra was a Group 3 winner, and is a grand-daughter of the champion two-year-old in Ireland of 1988, Pass The Peace. (18:58)

Lot 244: just the third lot in the ring leads to some spirited bidding, the son of Kodiac attracting plenty of attention.

Sold by Tally-Ho Stud, he sells for €56,000 with Simon Kerrins responsible for bidding on behalf of Moussad Al Mutari.

He is out of the Pivotal mare Eternal View, she is an own-sister to the stakes-placed and stakes-producing Kitty Kiernan, damof Orderofthegarter, who was second in the Hampton Court Stakes (G3).

It is also the family of Group 1 winner Spartacus, Group 2 winner Johan Cruyff and multiple Hong Kong Group 1 winner Blazing Speed. (10:15)

Lot 252: Eamon Reilly strikes early, and goes to €95,000 for the son of Exceed And Excel. Ed Sackville was underbidder.

"He has been bought for a US-based client, Magic Cap Stables," said Reilly. "I am not sure yet whether this colt will be trained in the US or Europe, it is to be decided but we have had winners in Ireland with Jessica Harrington. He was my pick of today."

The colt is out of the winning US Ranger mare Falcon's Song, a half-sister to the Group 2 winner Red Duke (Hard Spun), the Listed winner Mr Ryder (Giant's Causeway) and the Listed placed The West's Awake (Theatrical).

The colt's third dam is the Group 1 Yorkshire Oaks winner Bint Pasha. (10:42)

Lot 264: Exceed And Excel's progeny are in demand this morning... this filly is bought by Jim McCartan and MC Bloodstock for €90,000.

"She is going breezing," says McCartan. "I love Exceed And Excels fillies, I thought she was the best filly here, she was sold by a very good consignor.

"We will get her home and see how she goes, we'll think which sale for her then."

She was sold by Joanna Morgan's Portlester Stud, a foal pinhook purchase bought for 30,000gns.

"I loved her as a foal," said Morgan, "and I didn't think we'd buy for her 30,000gns – that is the most I'd ever spend on a foal.

"I love her pedigree – it is a tough one – and trainer Karl Burke has good regard for Wonderwork, her half-brother who is now a two-year-old winner. This filly should be a rocket, she looks it," smiled Morgan.

One person will be slightly disappointed with the sale... Morgan's daughter Katie McGivern of Derryconnor Stud was hoping to breeze the filly herself next spring.

It has been a good few months recently for Portlester Stud – one of Morgan's pinhook sales last year was a Footstepsinthesand colt now named Mums Tipple. (11:07)

Lot 284: the last in from the four-strong Lodge Park Stud draft sells for €52,000.

The filly is a daughter of the first-crop sire The Last Lion and out of Hallowed Park (Barathea), the dam of five winners from five runners.

She is a daughter of the 1,000 Guineas winner Classic Park and a half-sister to the listed winner Soon and the Epsom Derby (G1) runner-up Walk In The Park.

Lodge Park's draft has sold for an aggregate of €137,000 and an average price of €34,500. (11:52)

Lot 297: the Sea The Stars filly from Kilcarn Park sells to Eoghan O'Neill for €70,000. She is from a family that O'Neill knows well.

"I trained her mother Holy Spring and she was very quick for one by Dylan Thomas," says O'Neill. "She was very talented and twice finished second at Listed level.

"I also trained the Listed winner Nans Joy and the Group 3 placed Kenouska.

"This filly is very like her mother and is by a top stallion in Sea The Stars." (12:28)

Lot 320: from Knockatrina House, this April-born daughter of Kodiac makes €65,000. She is an own-sister to Koropick, winner of the Group 3 Chipchase Stakes, placed second in the Sirenia Stakes (G3) and fifth in the Middle Park Stakes (G1) behind The Last Lion.

Dam Kathoe (Fayruz) has produced two winners from four runners.

Koropick is now a stallion standing at Hedgeholme Stud and has completed his second year at stud. (13:08)

Lot 329: Mouse O'Ryan, leaning on the rails, is the successful buyer of the Acclamation colt from Egmont Stud at €60,000.

It was a second time in a sales ring for this colt – he was purchased last year as a pinhook by Brian Grassick Bloodstock for €38,000 from Grange Stud.

The colt is out of the Kodiac mare Komedy, who was a winner at three. She is an own-sister to On Her Toes, the Listed winner of the Star Stakes, and a half-sister to Jane's Memory, a Listed winner and Group 3 placed.

It is the further family of Duke Of York Stakes (G3) winner, The Kiddykid. (13:31)

Lot 343: becomes the most expensive yearling by New Bay sold here so far when fetching €50,000 (two previous lots through the ring by him from a draft of six).

The colt was bought by Kerri Lyons, standing in the alleyway and on the phone. She purchased on behalf of Gaelic Bloodstock.

Sold by Ballylinch Stud, which stands the son of Dubawi, the chestnut colt is out of the three-time-winning Lawman mare Levanto, who was also placed fourth in the Listed Listowel Stakes.

She is a grand-daughter of Crystal Crossing, dam of Rule Of Law, a champion three-year-old stayer in Europe in 2004 and winner of the St Leger Stakes (G1). (14:05)

Lot 348: The son of Love Action (Motivator) is bought by Middleham Park Racing for €62,000.

He is a February-born colt by Equiano and was sold by Gaynestown Stud. He is a half-brother to two multiple winners, and a full-brother to Hidden Affair, a two-time winner at three.

Love Action is a daughter of Speciale (War Chant), a Listed winner as a juvenile in France, and from the family of Grade 1 Yellow Ribbon Invitational Handicap winner Aube Indienne and the Group 2-winning Mare Nostrum. She is the dam of the Group 1 and Grade 1 winner, Erupt.

The colt was a 16,000gns purchase last December by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock from Pineapple Stud. (14:15)

Lot 354: another son of New Bay fetches €50,000 – this colt being a Manister House Stud offering.

He is the second foal out of Lus Na Greine (Pour Moi), a half-sister to Rehn's Nest (Authorized), the Park Express Stakes (G3) winner and a runner-up in the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

The pedigree also features the Group 1 winners Loch Garman and champion two-year-old Eva Luna.

The colt was bought by Will Douglass of Gordon-Watson BLoodstock with trainer Charlie Fellowes. (14:29)

Lot 359: "He was our pick of the colts this week," said Tim Palin of Middleham Park Racing after spending €90,000 on Coole House Farm's Footstepsinthesand colt. The February colt was bought in association with Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock.

"He was the first horse we vetted on Monday and we saw him three times – every time we went to see him there was a queue of people to see him!

"He is strong, well developed horse and is a half-brother to a three-time winner rated 85 who is still progressing – what is there not to like!

"He will go to Richard Hannon, who is the best trainer of horses by the sire; let's hope this is another Threat."

Underbidders included Jono Mills and Katie Walsh.

Coole House Farm has carved itself a bit of niche producing horses by Footstepsinthesand – its top auction ring price ever of €110,000 was achieved by the colt who went onto be named Larchmount Lad, while the farm also sold a colt by the sire for €60,000.

The farm, found near Monasterevin in County Kildare, is run by Mark Deeling and his wife Barbara Fonzo.

"All the credit needs to go to my wife as she found the mare at the sales," said Deeling. "We've been lucky, too, with Footstepsinthesand – we've had results from him with five different mares.

"The mare had a Holy Roman Emperor foal this year and is in-foal to Zoffany."

Middleham Park has purchased five horses so far this week, including a filly by Dandy Man (Lot 80), who was "our pick of the fillies". (14:49)

Lot 403: the second of just two lots catalogued in the September Sale by Camelot sells for €50,000. He was bought by Jamie Osborne.

Sold by Ballygallon Stud, he is out of the black-type placed mare Myrica (Dansili).

He is from the family of Group 3 winners New Providence and Ekhtiyaar.

Third dam is the mare Baya, a Group 3 winner in France and runner-up in the Prix de Diane (G1). (16:26)

Lot 447: "He's a lovely horse," said Bobby O'Ryan after going to €65,000 for the son of Camacho sold by Baroda Stud.

"I bought his half-sister at this spring's breeze-up sales and she has won three now. She is trained by Ben Haslam and this colt is heading there too. He looks a real two-year-old type."

The half-sister is called Auckland Lodge, is a daughter of Dandy Man and is now rated 78 – her latest success came last weekend at Catterick in a 5f nursery off a mark of 74.

The pair hail from the further family of Group 3 winner Cheyenne Star, St James's Palace (G1) winner Barney Roy, and the admirable 16-time-winning sprinter Gordon Lord Byron. He has now won over £1,890,000 in prize-money earnings. (18:07)

Lot 467: the sales-topper has come late in the day, just 12 lots from the end of the second session this son of the leading second-season sire No Nay Never makes €165,000.

He was sold by Mount Eaton Stud and bought by the Mick Kinane on behalf of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

"He is by the exciting sire No Nay Never, he is a lovely big horse who will need time," said Kinane. "It is nice to be able to buy one by the sire."

The April-born colt is out of Rio's Peal, a daughter of Captain Rio. She is an own-sister to Listed winner Agony And Ecstasy and a half-sister to Medicine Jack (Equiano), winner of the Railway Stakes (G2) and third in the Phoenix Stakes (G1).

It is the further family of Wind In Her Hair, dam of the top Japanese stallion Deep Impact.

Breeder and consignor Philip Hore of MOunt Eaton was delighted.

"I feel as though I have bred a Royal Ascot winner!" he smiled. "He was always an easy, loose-moving foal.

"We did have him entered up to sell as foal but decided to wait to sell as a yearling.

"He has done really well in the last three months, I am thrilled."

Of the decision to cover his mare with No Nay Never, who then had not had any runners, Hore simplified the decision-making process.

"I bred Prince Of Lir, he won the Norfolk Stakes. No Nay Never won the Norfolk, too – I thought I would stick with that!" he joked. (18:56)

Lot 491: the good-looking filly by young sire Olympic Glory (from Crohane Stud) fetches €12,000. She was purchased by Ambrosiana Razza.

She is a first foal out of the Sea The Stars mare Sea Of Women, a half-sister to the US black-type runner The Tulip.

It is also the family of CD Europe, winner of the Coventry Stakes (G3). (10:28)
