Lot 535: "He is for Clive Boultbee-Brooks for whom I buy a lot of youngstock for," said Matt Coleman after going to €54,000 for the Milan colt out of the Grade 1-placed racemare Swincombe Flame.
"He looks a bit baby-ish, but I thought he was a fantastic walker, the best here today, he looks to have a great attitude too. It was a bit more than we wanted to pay, but the pin-hookers were on him."
Swincombe Flame has had one runner – Mister Debonair. He is a dual winner, his victories including a Listed bumper.
He was sold by Rahinston Stud. (15:52)
Lot 537: Adrian Costello of Park Farm is successful at €62,000 for the Flemensfirth colt out of the Listed winning and Grade 2-placed hurdler Give It Time (Kayf Tara).
"It's all there," said Costello. "He is by a top stallion, out of a good racemare who is by Kayf Tara and he is a lovely foal. He'll be back in three years' time."
Costello then tried hard to buy the next lot in the ring, Lot 538, a Getaway colt from Ballyclerihan House Stud. The bidder had to fill the role of underbidder as the colt fetched €42,000, bought by David Magnier. (15:56)
Lot 560: the Camelot half-brother to the 20-time winner, 10-time Grade 1 winner and champion Altior sells for €155,000.
It is the best price given for a foal at the sale since 2007, and the second-best price ever paid for a colt at the sale.
The bidding kicked off at €100,000 from a bid given by Hamish MacCauley and underbidders included Juliette Minton.
The final winning bid came from the former international footballer Kevin Doyle, who was standing down the tunnel with Peter Nolan. Doyle is planning to resell the son of Camelot as a three-year-old.
"What was there not to like about him?"said Doyle, adding: "He speaks for himself: he is a half-brother to Altior and by Camelot.
"I had seen a lot of him through the pre-sale publicity, but we liked him when we saw him. The plan will be for re-sale."
Doyle, who had 62 appearances for Ireland as a professional footballer and scored 14 goals for his country, added: "We like producing them, we enjoy seeing them grow, we try if possible not to own them as racehorses!"
Doyle owns Slaney River Stud and his father Paddy is fully involved with farm. At last year's November NH Sale, the pair purchased the mare Augusta Kate for €85,000. She had a Champs Elysees filly foal in April.
This colt's breeder Paddy Behan Jnr was understandably thrilled with the price.
"We are over the moon," he smiled as family Behan were getting selfies done with the well-behaved foal, who was unawares what all the fuss was about.
"We just wanted to get him sold and go to a good farm – and he is going to a great place," said Behan Jnr.
Behan explained the reasoning behind the Camelot covering that produced this colt.
"We like to keep the speed in to them," he explained. "Speed, speed, speed. We have found when we have used 'true' NH stallions it has not worked for us and it was why we went to High Chaparral originally to produce Altior."
When asked if he was tempted to keep the youngster through to a three-year-old, Behan said: "We are not really set up to have older horses. Of course, if for any reason he had not sold, then we would have worked something out, but it was never in the plans."
Monte Solaro, who was the first mare fully owned as a family horse by the Behans, is not in-foal having produced this colt in June. (17:00)
Lot 576: Kevin Ross Bloodstock and regular NH foal buyer Ben Case spend €65,000 on the Getaway colt out of the Listed chase winner and the Grade 2-placed hurdler, Baby Shine (King's Theatre).

Dreambaby was bred by Pat Tobin.
"I bought her dam Monumental Gesture and I bred Wichita Lineman," said Tobin. "I also bred Millys Gesture, who is now the dam of Coney Island. It has been a wonderful family."
Purchaser Timmy Hyde said: "It is a wonderful pedigree, he is very good looking horse, a great mover. We have not had anything from this family before. He will be for resale."
Dreambaby, a dual winner, is now in-foal to Walk In The Park. (18:16)
